What to do in Manizales: Tourist Plans
When thinking of Manizales, what comes to mind is its culture, landscapes, architecture, cuisine, and of course, its people?whose kindness and warmth have earned it the nickname ?the city of open doors.?
We are a city that offers something for everyone. This time, we?re sharing some affordable plans that will allow you to experience our culture, walk through our streets, and fall in love with our landscapes and our people.

Architecture in the Historic Center
Are you passionate about Republican-style architecture? If so, we recommend visiting and exploring the Historic Center of the city, where everyday life blends with neoclassical, neo-Gothic, and neo-Renaissance styles.
It was declared a National Monument in 1999 and contains the largest and most homogeneous collection of Republican-style buildings in Colombia (between streets 17 and 25 and avenues 19 and 25).
We suggest ending your tour at the Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manizales, where you can climb to the Polish Corridor for a panoramic view of the city, or visit Café Tazzioli to enjoy a cup of Manizales coffee?a signature of our culture.
Hiking and Cuisine in the Gallinazo Area, Villamaría
Take a walk through an area filled with nature and fresh air, visit the local hot springs, enjoy glamping spots, and end with a delicious meal?that?s what Gallinazo offers. This area has become a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.
On weekends especially, it?s one of the most visited spots. For lovers of traditional cuisine, this is our top recommendation: enjoy dishes rooted in Antioquian heritage, such as sancocho, beans, bandeja paisa, ripe plantain with cheese and guava paste, corn mazamorra, chorizo, and pork cracklings, among others.

Science at Ecoparque Los Yarumos
This eco-park spans 53 hectares of natural spaces where you can go hiking and enjoy a viewpoint offering a broad view of the city.
It is part of the Manizales Network of Ecoparks and is home to the Bioma Interactive Center, where visitors of all ages can learn about science and biodiversity through guided tours. The park also houses the Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (BIOS).
Scenery and Coffee at the Monument to the Colonizers
If you're into history and scenic views, we recommend visiting the Chipre neighborhood, where you can explore the Monument to the Colonizers and learn its story. This tribute to the city's founders is the work of Luis Guillermo Vallejo Vargas, a painter, sculptor, and architect from Manizales. The site also features the Coffee Museum, where you can learn about the history and process of coffee production?and, of course, taste it.
After your visit, enjoy a traditional oblea (a local wafer dessert), take in the landscape, and end your day with a dreamy sunset.
Hotel Benidorm invites you to enjoy these tourist plans with the best stay. Book now!
