Natural Parks in Manizales
Manizales is located in an area of abundant flora and fauna, so much so that the department is home to some of the most stunning natural landscapes in Colombia. Recinto del Pensamiento
Just 20 minutes away and approximately 12 kilometers from Manizales you?ll find the Recinto del Pensamiento Jaime Restrepo Mejía. This park covers around 170 hectares, most of which form part of a natural reserve. Highlights include:

Rio Blanco Ecological Reserve
Just 50 minutes away and about 17 kilometers from the city, you?ll find this magical natural reserve with ecological trails. It spans 4,932 hectares of cloud forest and sits at around 2,150 meters above sea level.
It includes seven rural areas and borders the Tesorito and Ecotourism Cerro de Oro districts of Manizales, the village of El Manantial, and the municipalities of Villamaría, Neira, and Marulanda. Although it is the least populated, it is the largest of all seven districts.
In addition to birdwatching with over 300 species, you may encounter various mammals and breathtaking natural landscapes?making this one of the most biodiverse areas in the world.
Bosque Popular El Prado
It takes only 15 minutes to reach this park, which spans 53 hectares of trees, pools, trails, sports fields, restaurants, parking, a dog gym, picnic areas?making it one of the favorite spots for locals in Manizales.
Bosque Popular El Prado has free admission for all visitors, is open every day, and offers various sports activities: aerobics, swimming, enduro cycling, karting, motocross, skating, football, futsal, basketball, tennis, and beach volleyball.

Ecoparque Los Alcázares Arenillo
